Not sure about that price given the laughable quality of these when sold in Canada in the 90s (I doubt many made it to their 10th birthday, I remember them being three figures at 5 years old), but these and Zhiguli are definitely a guilty pleasure.

I have to think that the seller expects the buyer to put it on a trophy stand given the price.   Also,  it's a 1980 made in 1991?  Is this the seller acknowledging that Lada only rarely changed styles in that era or..?

sadly they are creeping up (here anyway) , ones locally if and when they come up for sale are all CP prices

And I suspect they find no buyers. Maybe a situation where wifey wants hubby to dump the weird car, so he prices it high, and with no takers, is “forced” to keep it.

At half the price, it’d  b e fair.
